MS9601B is a single-line HDMI signal 3-in-1-out switch chip with a maximum signal rate of 3Gbps. At a 3Gbps rate, MS9601B can support resolutions of up to 4K×2K@30Hz and 4K×2K(YCbCr420)@60Hz for HDMI input signals. The chip integrates DDC and HPD channel switchers, which switch along with the corresponding TMDS channels. The chip can be powered by an internal LDO or an external LDO.
The chip can be controlled using either a built-in controller with embedded codes or an external controller with an I2C interface. It supports online and offline firmware upgrades when using the built-in controller. With 6 configurable addresses, the chip can be flexibly applied in cascading solutions. The input equalizer and output adjustable driving capability of the HDMI input and output can be adjusted to optimize the quality of the output TMDS signal in different usage scenarios. Additionally, the chip supports channel switching using either infrared remote control or buttons.
